Found a rlly good strat for unlocking item chips in quasimorph, tezctlan will give you their cool items in exchange for human bits, and the church of revelations has a few outposts that will buy those items, and since the church is the best source of item chips early game unlock lots of recipes just from collecting guts.

Skin, ribs and skulls are the best to collect from what ive seen, they drop often and you can get a high value per stack. Limbs don't stack and aren't very valuable, hearts aren't worth it due to small stack and being perishable. (Unless you unlocked the recipe for bloodbags in which case use them to craft and sell those) eyes and ears imo don't drop enough to bother using an inventory slot on them, and hands and feet just don't store much value per stack.

Human flesh is perishable so you won't be able to sell it unless you obtain it in the same system as the tezctlan temples, not even worth it bc bad stack value. You should still collect some tho to let it rot to craft antibiotics

Btw does anyone know if first aid kits are worth the trouble? They don't stabilize wounds despite taking bandages and splints to make and in most circumstances it seems like letting natural healing do the work is less wasteful. I mean I guess they come in clutch if you need instant healing or can't find enough food to activate natural healing but idk
